Kill the Night
A downloadable visual novel for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android
Following the untimely passing of his father, Sasaki Shin'ya and his mother moved to a countryside town called Hinoyama, where they now run a café together.
Apart from his job, he has become withdrawn and no longer has any passion. What he seeks is a peaceful and uneventful day-to-day life.
Under the dark winter sky, on a day like any other—multiple people were found dead inside an initially assumed single victim, in a park he passes by everyday.
On the same day, by the twist of an inevitable fate, he met a woman he never should have.
That same night, he died.
Then he woke up—40 years later.

As a long time VN reader I cannot overstate how engrossed I was while reading the prologue of Kill the Night. The dev definitely wears his inspirations on his sleeve, but in a way that shows an incredible understanding of why those inspirations worked in the first place. The character writing flows in a way that few visual novels do, and the atmosphere is meticulously crafted. idk man honestly any notes I've got on this one are borderline nitpicky. I'm eagerly awaiting more.
aa i didn't see this here earlier, thank you very much xel
I assume you reuploaded the game, so I am getting it from here! Played some, I am fond of it! The soundscape feels good as an atmospheric setup.
yes i did actually, i had previously published the page on january (released on june) and i didn't realize i won't be getting itch io new game boost from it lol
and thank you very much! i've made it a point to use a lot of SFX to create tension and atmosphere, i'm really glad you like it! let me know what you think once you finish it, any thoughts/critique are welcome.
